RECIPE FOR CHERRY DELIGHT

CHERRY DELIGHT
Makes 100 servings.Bake in 400° oven.
INGREDIENTSWEIGHTSMEASURES
Cherries2 –# 10 cans
Sugar5 lbs.6 qts. (or 24 cups)
Butter1 lb.2 cups
Sifted flour3 lbs.3 qts. (or 12 cups)
Baking powder4 Tbsps.
Salt½ tsp.
Fluid Milk1 ½ qts. (or 6 cups)
DIRECTIONS:
1.      Mix cherries and one-half (12 cups) of sugar,boil 1 minute.
2.      Melt butter;divide into 4 baking pans,12” x 20” x 2”.
3.      Mix remaining ingredients and pour over melted butter in pans.
4.      Pour fruit mixture over batter,being careful not to mix fruit and batter.
5.      Bake in 400° F. oven for 40 minutes or until done.
